FFA Events -- Mark Your Calendar!
The Lawrence/Nelson FFA Chapter will be running the concession stand for the Nuckolls County Fair on Sunday July 6th and Monday July 7th. Cleanup for Fair Concession stand is July 3rd at 6:00 pm. The schedule for working can be found HERE. If you are not already signed up to work, please email me to let me know when you and your child(ren) can work. My email is mmeyer@southcentralunified.org. In order to make this fundraiser a success, it is essential that all students contribute. In the event that you cannot make your shift, please find your own replacement. There is no need to contact me, just make sure a worker is there to work!
Please remember a ball cap to wear in the concession stand. I have told the students that if they miss their shift and don’t work, they will be fined $25. Please call if your son or daughter can’t make it and I can waive the fine once they have someone working their missed shift!
We will also be helping with Oak Days this year on July 26th. Our chapter will be running the games from 5:00 pm until close in Oak. Any FFA member that come to help with this community service project would be appreciated! I did not have the students sign up for this because of the schedule being received after school was out. PLEASE NOTE: The letters that were sent out stated Ruskin Days on June 26th - this was a misprint, and we are needing help with OAK Days on JULY 26th.
2014-2015 Officers: We will be having our Officer Retreat at Lovewell Lake on June 28th. We will be leaving school at 9:00 am and will be going to Lovewell. We will be leaving Lovewell at 4:00 pm. It is a day for the officers to build their leadership skills within themselves and as a team. Please let Ms. Meyer know if you can’t make it!
Kick Off Party for all FFA members: The date is August 8th at 6:30 pm! Your Power Team Officer will be letting you know further information on this party! So plan on coming and enjoying the afternoon getting to play some games and eating!
