Raiders 2014 Football Season Begins
The Raiders are Determined to Win in 2014
Attention Raider fans! The Raiders have started their football season and are prepared to have a victorious year! Although they’ve lost various starting players from the senior class, fans believe they will be able to carry on with discipline, careful strategy, and help from the years new seniors.
On September 5th the team will be traveling to Kenesaw where they will face off against the Blue Devils. The anticipation of the game seems to be great as devoted fans are anxious to see if the team surely can carry on with the drastic changes. During the scrimmage a polar nature was witnessed from the Raiders. Their defense seemed to match the strength of their offense like the opposite sides of a magnet, making for an exciting preview of the season.
There hasn’t been a lot said about the season but Coach Brian Blevins, was quoted by saying, “We have a lot of people who really want to win this year and I think that attitude will go a long way.” Many fans agree that the attitude, determination, and willpower of the players is a major strength that will keep them holding on when things get rough during the season.
Here is the roster for the season:
Seniors: Dillon Menke, Wyatt Thayer, Dakota Thayer, Cody Bridwell, Jimmy Mazour, Austin Mundorf, Preston Franzen, and Brandon Skinner.
Juniors: Bryce Buescher, Brennan Miller, Jay Hewitt, Brandon "Baller Baller Shot Caller" Karmazin, Cody Byers.
Sophomores: Matt Buescher, Gavyn Buschkoetter, Tim Herbek, Colton Biltoft, Dalton Sweley, Wyatt Heikkinen, Mike Dunn.
Freshmen: Peyton Drudik, Kevin Schroer, Kory Golay, Isaiah Tippin, Anders Jensen, Robby Wood, Riley Kucera, Jaden Himmelberg.
