Another Successful Community Service Clean Up Day Held in Lawrence

September 26th, 2015

Lawrence/Nelson FFA and FBLA chapters held another cooperative community clean up day on Saturday, September 26th, in Lawrence.  This week's sponsors were Ashley Wit, Jessica Stokes, and Russ Menke.  Lawrence/Nelson students helping were:  Alyssa Miller, Haley Menke, Bailey Williams, Katie Mazour, Harlie Himmelberg, Cherokee Frahm-Thayer, Rachel Kathman, Wyatt Brockman, Kaden Thompson, Trey Himmelberg, Brett Karmazin, Bryce Buescher, Peyton Drudik, Gavyn Buschkoetter, Micah Dolnicek, Lane Kathman and Nathan and Caleb Stokes.
The group painted the concession stand, picked up limbs and removed trees around town where requested, filled in gopher holes at the track, and other odd jobs as requested by community members.  The group was unable to paint the pool as it was too wet but that was one of the jobs they had also planned on completing.  The group was then fed lunch at Dick's Place by the booster club and sent on their way.  Thank you again, L/N Raiders, for all of your hard work in the Lawrence and Nelson communities!
