L/N FBLA Attends State Leadership Conference

Hewitt Qualifies for Nationals

The Lawrence/Nelson FBLA chapter recently participated in the State Leadership Conference held in Omaha, April 7-9.  10 students attended and took part in more than 15 events over the 3 day time span.  Events range from those that must be completed prior to attending the conference such as Digital Video Production and Computer Applications to objective tests such as Accounting II and Personal Finance.

Those in attendance were: (9) Savannah Brich, Kaylee Kathman, Megan Wheeland. (10) Hayden Epley, Mattee Kucera. (12) Jay Hewitt, Harlie Himmelberg, Rachel Kathman, Abby Kile, Alyssa Miller.

The chapter was awarded the Sweepstakes Award which is an award that encourages chapter involvement in many different activities and writing reports.  Chapters must select 10 activities to complete and submit by the posted deadline.

Accounting II 5th Place - Jay Hewitt

Jay Hewitt has been selected to represent Nebraska and Lawrence/Nelson at the National Leadership Conference in Atlanta, GA this summer.  He and adviser, Ashley Wit, will travel with the Nebraska delegation June 28-July 3 to Atlanta for the conference.
