Flag Camp to be Held on Tuesday, June 14th

Launch the media gallery 1 playerCurrent fifth through eighth grade students are invited to attend Lawrence/Nelson Flag Camp at the ELEMENTARY SCHOOL IN LAWRENCE (note the change in location). The cost of the camp is $20, and this will include the cost of the t-shirt. The camp will be from 12:30 PM - 3 PM on Tuesday, June 14th, and the students will learn a flag routine that they will perform at a football game this fall. Note that this is now being held after the junior high basketball camp that morning in Lawrence. STUDENTS ATTENDING BOTH CAMPS ON THIS DATE SHOULD PLAN TO BRING A SACK LUNCH!

Please don't forget to have your child wear comfortable shoes that they can practice/perform routines in!
On May 9th, last year's coach (Kim Ely) and this year's upcoming coach (Kylee Haba) held tryouts for the 2016-2017 school year with applications being handed out and available in the school office prior to this. Students learned the routine on Wednesday, May 4th before school in the gym, and then were selected following tryouts on May 9th. Congratulations to the members of the 2016-2017 flag team: Sophie McKee, Lizzie Tillmans, Vanessa Dougherty, Kaytlynn Tockey, Rose Kathman, and Sammi Jeffs.
