ATTENTION SPECIAL EDUCATION STUDENTS AND FAMILIES
NDE Rule 51 requires schools to provide notification prior to the destruction of personally identifiable Special Education data. This data is kept on students five years after student has moved from District, until graduation date if student no longer needs services while in elementary, five years after student is dismissed from services if student is dismissed during high school years, and five years after graduation for those students who remain in Special Education through graduation. PLEASE NOTE: Students' data that was no longer needed after May 31, 2011 and those students dismissed during elementary school and that graduated in May 2016 will be destroyed this year. If this applies to you or your child and you would like copies of this data, please contact Dr. Gilson at South Central NE USD#5 (402) 726-2151 on or before July 1, 2016.
