2020 Graduation Information

- Graduation Date: Saturday, May 9, 2020
- Graduation Time: 4:00 p.m. (doors open for the public at 3 PM; seniors need to arrive by 3 PM)
- Graduation Location: Lawrence/Nelson Middle/High School Gymnasium
- Class Colors: Light Purple (Lavendar) & Daisy Yellow
- Class Flower: Gerber Daisy ($5 per flower; first one is free)
- Class Motto: "Only 47 years until we're seniors again."
- Class Song: "Here for a Good Time" by George Strait (the song they are walking out to)
- Parents' Song (when flowers are handed out to parents): "Wherever I Go" by Miley Cyrus
- Graduation Gowns: black for the boys & platinum silver for the girls; Stoles are in lavendar with white embroidery on them
- Class Sponsor: Dana Epley
Each year, we ask to have 1 baby, 1 toddler and 1 senior picture of your graduate no later than September 15th to include in the graduation video. All pictures should be sent to Mrs. Epley either by mail (Lawrence/Nelson HS, Attn: Dana Epley, PO Box 368, Nelson NE 68961) or via email at: depley@southcentralusd.us. If there is a problem getting the pictures to her by this date, please call the school: 402-225-3371.
Other senior reminders:
- Baby/toddler picture for yearbook
- Senior picture for yearbook (portrait layout, up & down), close up (waist up at least), and no guns/weapons/hats in pictures
- Senior picture for newspaper (can be the same one used in the yearbook, but doesn't have to be)
- One printed picture for hallway display (again, portrait layout, and same rules as above) -- MUST BE IN WALLET SIZE
- Family message form (this is required for the yearbook & will go with the baby/toddler picture)
- Senior memory ad (this is optional & comes in different size packages - contact khaba@southcentralusd.us if you wish to purchase)
- $30 small ad (business card size) requires one baby photo or middle school photo with message
- $60 medium sized ad (1/4 of a page with 2 photos & a message)
- $100 large sized ad (1/2 page ad with 3 photos & a message)
- Photographer's release form (required to use your child's senior picture)
Work will begin on the senior video for graduation in January, so please look through old pictures to use -- elementary, group pictures, class pictures, etc. Please give these to Mrs. Epley as well. It is best if you put these in an envelope labeled with your name so we can return the pictures to you as soon as possible.
