Health Occupations Students of America

On Friday, February 2nd, the LN and SC students in the healthcare pathway who have joined HOSA had the opportunity to attend UNK's Behavioral Health Experience. It was a day of workshops and learning more about what careers are available in this field, and the high demand for them. Mrs. Ashley Borer of SC and Mrs. Kristi Wehrman and Mrs. Dana Epley of LN accompanied the students on this trip.

HOSA stands for Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA), and is a national career and technical student organization endorsed by the U.S. Department of Education and the Health Science Technology Education Division. Lawrence/Nelson and Sandy Creek started chapters at each of their respective sites, and are joining forces to compete at the state level in March in a variety of healthcare fields.
