Jensen Achieves Honors Inside and Outside of the Classroom

Full Tuition and 8-Man All Star Game are in Jensen's Future

Anders Jensen, a senior at Lawrence/Nelson High School, was recently awarded the Nebraska Machinery Scholarship.  This scholarship, through the Diesel Technology Program at Central Community College-Hastings, has offered Jensen a two-year sponsorship that includes two paid summer internships, paid tuition, books, fees, and NMC branded uniforms, toolbox and tools, personalized mentoring during the summers as well as the school year, and employment and career progression opportunities with NMC.  HERE is a link to the list of tools that Anders will be receiving - it is quite impressive!

On top of this, Jensen was also selected for the Sertoma 8-Man All-Star Game.  Playing for the "East" side, Jensen is one of the top 24 players from this half of the state playing in the game.  Participants are chosen from D1 and D2 schools across the state, representing more than 100 football teams.

Congratulations to Jensen on these honors both inside and outside of the classroom at Lawrence/Nelson - you have made us proud!  Jensen is the son of Brent and Cheryl Jensen of rural Oak, NE.
