Niederklein and Beutler Receive Recognition for Work in the Classroom

Lawrence/Nelson's own Jerad Niederklein recently received the "Teacher of the Month" from NTV on Thursday, February 8th.  Mr. Niederklein is the third grade teacher at Lawrence/Nelson, as well as helping to coach high school football and is the head golf coach.  Niederklein was nominated for this award by his third grade student, Riley Haba.  This was a SURPRISE for Mr. Niederklein when the news station showed up to give him the award at school on Thursday, and his wife Michaela was able to be there as well.  Congratulations to Mr. Niederklein on this award!

Just a month before this award, Lawrence/Nelson Elementary's first grade teacher, Kinzie Beutler, received the "Smart Teacher" Award from Farmers and Merchants Bank.  Ms. Beutler received $100 from the bank to use in her classroom as she wishes.  Shown here is Ms. Beutler receiving the award from Carla Kohmetscher of Farmers and Merchants Bank in Lawrence, Nebraska

Congratulations to Ms. Beutler and Mr. Niederklein on receiving these recognitions - they are both very well deserved!  Lawrence/Nelson is lucky to have some pretty amazing teachers!
