Sandy Creek Middle School Students Participate in UNK MathCounts

February 18, 2019

MathCounts sponsor, Madison High, had the pleasure of taking eight middle school students to the MathCounts competition at UNK: Connor Janda, Sophie Dane, Zac Corman, Kaleb Whitmore, McKenzie Bohlen, Teagan Jarosik, Aisley Schliep and Leiah Mueller. There were over 180 students and 23 teams that competed from all over the area. The top six individuals and top four teams were recognized and given trophies. Kaleb Whitmore placed 1st, Teagan Jarosik 7th and Zac Corman 30th. The team that consisted of Kaleb, McKenzie, Teagan and Aisley placed 3rd which means they all have qualified for the state competition at UNL in March. Madison reported, "If you see these students please congratulate them on their hard work. I am so proud of them!"
