State Powerlifting Results 2019
Lawrence/Nelson Finishes Second in State
This was the first year Lawrence/Nelson has ever competed in the State Powerlifting Competition. Students perform three reps in the Bench, Squat & Deadlift. Their total weight is then added up for placing at each weight class. Team scoring is based off of placing in all 11 weight classes. Due to students competing in both powerlifting and in State Archery the same day, some students were only allowed to get in one lift, which did put the team at a disadvantage.

- 132 - Cole Troudt 2nd
- 148 - Theo Kathman 1st, Trevor Biltoft 2nd
- 165 - Brody Himmelberg 3rd, Blake Janda 4th
- 181 - Boone Svoboda 1st
- 198 - Jake Sharp, Tie for 1st
- 220 - Coy Ceder, 3rd
- 242 - Konnor Thompson, 2nd
- 275 - Kyle Golay, 1st
- 275+ - Nate Bissell, 1st
The team took 2nd place overall, and we had many great personal finishers. Kyle Golay finished 2nd overall in total weight, pulling 970 pounds.
