Sandy Creek Chapter NAHS Bylaws


 

  • Grade Requirement

 

    • To be invited to the NAHS students must have a 90% or above in every art class enrolled in at the end of the first quarter of the school year.

    • All returning and continuing members must maintain a 90% or above in each art class they are a part of.  

      • The 90% grade that continuing members must maintain is each semester average. The final semester average is the required grade.

      • Students will only be asked to join after the first quarter of the school year, but they can be removed from the group at the end of end of each semester.

 

  • Attendance Requirement

 

    • All students must maintain an 80% average attendance rating.

      • The rating is cumulative for a semester and is calculated at the end of each semester.

    • Students receive 1.00 for each meeting they attend.

      • If a student is late to a meeting they receive .75

      • If a student misses half of a meeting they receive .50

      • If a student misses a meeting they receive .00

    • For each activity that lasts longer than an hour, the student receives 2.00 for their participation and attendance. For each activity that lasts less than 1 hour, each student receives 1.00 for their participation.

      • This includes special projects and fundraising.


 

Discipline Policies

 

  • All students must abide by the student code of conduct and policies outlined in the Student Handbook including the Drug and Alcohol Policy.

    • If there are any infractions to these rules the student membership will be revoked for the remainder of the school year with no refund of dues.

  • Any in-school or out-of-school suspension for any reason will result in a revocation of student membership for the remainder of the school year with no refund of membership dues.

  • Infractions involving theft or vandalism of school property will result in membership revocation and no refund of dues.

Social Media Policy

  • Students who post inappropriate or disrespectful content related to the school and/or the National Art Honor Society will result in membership revocation and no refund of dues.

A new rule-officers come up wording for the rule. The rule makes sure that people are being appropriate and respectful on social media as members of NAHS and Sandy Creek Public Schools.

    • Get work schedules figured out early, no excuses to not be there unless you are deathly ill

  • If you are a no show and want to go on the Denver trip, you will have to pay extra based on the average earned per person from the event

    • Potluck (explain what potluck is)

      • Hass will bring plates, forks, and drinks (what types?)
