Sandy Creek One Act Team Participates in Conference and District Competitions
Launch the media gallery 1 playerThe Southern Nebraska One Act Conference took place on November 13th at Centennial High School. Our one act team earned 9th place and received an overall score of 135 for their rendition of Game of Tiaras. A number of Sandy Creek’s performers earned distinctions as outstanding actors and actresses. The list includes Atley VanEmerik (Ellie), Sanie Davis (Cinderella), Serenity Caves (Belle), Garrett Engel (The King), Jakob MacCann (Smeagol), and Rami Hinrichs (Snow White/French Prince).
More recently, the one act crew was back in action on November 28th for Districts at the Rialto II theatre in Geneva. This time around Sandy Creek placed 7th and earned an overall score of 150, an improvement of 15 points from Conference. The three judges gave the play an average rating of 50, which is considered a “Superior” score (50-60), the highest quality possible. Four actors/actresses earned distinctions as outstanding performers. The group includes Sanie Davis (Cinderella), Atley VanEmerik (Ellie), Jon Mueller (French Prince), and Garrett Engel (The King).
