Congratulations to the Sandy Creek choir students! They finished out the Fall semester with success. On October 26th, Sophomore Breanna Brennfoerder performed with other students in the honor choir at Concordia University as part of their Musical Arts Day. On November 2nd and 3rd, 6th grader Rachel Brhel performed with other 5th and 6th graders as part of the Sing Around Nebraska choir. November 14th - 16th, Sophomore Kristen Rohrer performed with the Nebraska All-State Chorus. She spent two and a half days rehearsing with clinician Z. Randall Stroope, and performed the concert Friday evening.

     

In addition to the individual successes, the choir performed their Holiday concert. Several parents were elated at the elevated challenges the songs presented to the students. Overall, the parents, students, and Choir Director, Rachel Stefan were very pleased with the performance!

 

Other exciting news is that Sandy Creek will have students participating in the UNK Honor Choir this year. however, Dr. Bauer, who is the choir director for UNK was impressed by Sandy Creek Students and he has asked four students to participate in the choirs.  The students are: Kristen Rohrer, Rami Hinrichs, Garrett Engel, and Breanna Brennfoerder. Please make sure to congratulate them, as this is a HUGE honor for the students and choir program.
