HOSA Host Goal Surpassing Blood Drive

HOSA hosted their first ever Red Cross blood drive on March 11th. The drive's goal was to bring in 47 units and a total of 61 units of blood were
collected by days end! Lawrence/Nelson HOSA members worked hard calling potential donors, keeping everything running smoothly at the drive,
and of course, making sure everyone who took the time to come in and give was rewarded with some homemade treats. Of the 57 donors
who came in, nine were L/N students with five of them being first-time donors! There is currently a blood shortage as often happens during the
winter months. It was exceptional to see so many people donate their time and blood to make a life-saving difference to a stranger in need.
