Launch the media gallery 1 playerOur FCA chapter has accomplished a lot since the last post was published. On September 20th, 2019, the second 5th Quarter event was deemed successful once again with a strong number of participants. Shortly thereafter on October 9th, many members signed up to attend Fields of Faith in Grand Island. This event consisted of a small two person band performing Christian songs and a short sermon. All members were then asked to gather, hold hands, and share things they were thankful for in prayer. Just recently, FCA held yet again, a 5th Quarter event on January 24th, 2020. For those who may not know, the 5th Quarter events are held after the home sports games and are open to all high school students. You are not required to be an FCA member in order to attend. Fifth Quarter activities often consist of a shared meal prepared by sponsors, games, and mini concerts put on by those in attendance. In order to fund our FCA events, Pastor Ethan Feistner applied for a matching funds grant of $2,500. Our chapter is currently looking to collect $1,250 through donations and fundraisers in order to get this money. Donations may be sent to the school or given directly to Pastor Ethan and made out to Lawrence/Nelson FCA.
