South Central #5 Students Return to Mentor Visits for the Final Quarter of the Year

Juniors and seniors have resumed mentor visits and tours this semester as part of the NCAPS curriculum. Each student has chosen a career occupation they are interested in from one of the nine Career Pathways offered. Students have been working with professionals to learn more about the occupation and build their skills and professional network. Some of the students this semester are working with research experts at the Meat Animal Research Center, learning the ins and outs of the real estate business, or touring the Nebraska State Patrol Training Center. Others have worked in a cabinet shop or with a mechanic. Students interested education are getting time in the classroom with teachers in neighboring districts while those interested in health fields have mentored at Brodstone Hospital and other clinics in the region.
