Doane Honor Band

March 29, 2022

Mason Hinrichs (Trombone), Leiah Mueller (Clarinet), and Kenzie Petr (Flute) all performed at the Doane Underclassmen Honor Band. The band was limited to 125 freshmen, sophomores, and juniors from across the state and was selected by Doane's Director of Bands, Dr. Jay Gilbert. In four hours they learned four songs and performed them in concert. Their repertoire included "Falcon Fanfare" by Brian Balmages, "Ancient Flower" by Yukiko Nishimura, "Infinite Horizons" by Robert Sheldon, and "Courage March" by Harold Bennett. It was a very exciting day for these fine musicians.
