Destroy Records Notice
DESTROY SPED RECORDS
Parents/Guardians:
It is the policy of the South Central NE Unified School District #5 that special education
records be kept for at least five years after they are no longer needed. After five years,
the parents may have the records or they will be destroyed.
If you had a child who graduated from Sandy Creek or Lawrence/Nelson in the year of
2018 or if you have a child dismissed from special education services and graduated in
2023, you have the right to the personally identifiable data contained in your child’s
Special Education Record.
If you would like copies of your child’s Special Education records, please contact Lauren
Isaacson, Director of Special Education, on or before June 30, 2023. Otherwise all
records will be destroyed on July 1, 2023.
