2014 L/N Junior High Volleyball Team
7th Graders Look to Returners for Leadership
Launch the media gallery 1 playerThis upcoming season the Lawrence/Nelson Junior High volleyball team is eager for any competition that is coming their way. The Junior High volleyball team is prepared for any match they find out on the court.
This years Junior High volleyball team includes 18 members. The seventh graders include, Neika Bueschoetter, Karigan Drudik, Hallie Epley, Taylor Harrington, Emily Himmelberg, Annie McCartney, Annie Miller, Joanie Schultz, and Haley Williams. The eighth graders include, Savannah Brich, Kalee Fanning, Samantha Jeffs, Kaylee Kathman, Rose Kathman, Chelsea Kucera, Brandi Mazour, Raeleigh Menke, Elizabeth Tillmans, and Megan Wheeland. As these eighth graders have been in last years shoes they know to step it up and become the leaders they are for the Junior High volleyball team.
Head coach, Sheila McCartney, said of the team “competition is going to be a learning experience and tougher for the girls.” “The girls have improved working on basic skills, they need to work on fundamentals and defensive skills and work on hustling.” “We will beat a lot of teams with lots of hustle and determination.”
The team has set their goals high and proud as they look forward to their eventful season! So if you’re a fan of the young Lady Raiders then come out and see them show their talent on the court as they strive to become great athletes.
