SCNUSD #5 HOSA Students Take Part in CCC Healthcare Expo
The district's Health Occupation Students of America Chapters (sponsored by our school nurses Brenda Searle and Kristi Wehrman) recently took a trip to the CCC Healthcare Expo at the Hastings campus. The students got to explore a wide variety of healthcare fields and participated in hands-on experiences throughout the day. Some of the fields they explored included: Surgical Technologists, EMT/Paramedics, Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Dental Hygienist/Assistant, Laboratory Technologist/Phlebotomist, Mental Health Therapist/Counselor and Pharmacy.
Students attending from the South Central USD #5 HOSA group included: Dorie Paulk, Sierra Dittmer, Hannah Wenske, Megan Slechta, Sammi Jeffs, Kaylee Kathman, Megan Wheeland, Hallie Epley, Emily Himmelberg, Emma Epley, and Aleah Heikkinen.
