Peyton Philip Mazour- Senior Spotlight

Peyton Mazour, son of Philip and Denise Mazour, was born on December 2nd, 2002. He is the oldest of his siblings, which include sophomore Katelyn, eighth-grader Hayden, and fourth-grader Brooklyn. Peyton says that his whole family has impacted his life by always being there for him through sports and teaching him how to live life and be successful in the future. His favorite childhood memory was when he went to his first Husker football game. “It was a nice day and getting to be a part of the Big Red’s sea was an unbelievable experience.” Peyton’s most memorable vacation was when he went to Costa Rica with a group from school. “It was fun traveling through Costa Rica and seeing a different scenery and culture.”

Throughout his time in high school, Peyton has been successful in academics and extracurricular activities. His favorite subject was history because he enjoys learning about what has happened and how the world has changed because of it. “Mr. Brown makes learning about history better because of his knowledge in all subjects and the way  he makes us engage in our learning.”  Peyton’s favorite extracurricular is basketball. This is due to the great connections that he has made with coaches and teammates.

Peyton’s advice for the underclassmen is “whatever you want to do… do it now! For life is time and time is all there is.” After graduation, Peyton plans to attend Central Community College in Hastings for either automotive or diesel technology. He hopes in the future to have a steady and successful job as a mechanic.
