The Lawrence-Nelson FFA chapter participated in LSEs (Leadership Skills Events) at The Leadership Center in Aurora. This year, the officer team has been working hard since August to prepare themselves for the Parliamentary Procedure competition on January 23, 2020. Coached by Lance Williams and Morgan Trausch (L/N FFA advisor). The team got a blue ribbon and placed 6th out of 12 teams competing. The team consisted of Cody Buescher (chairman), Kylie Beard (secretary(, Haley Williams, Joanie Schultz, McKenzie Ostdiek, Wyatt Brockman, and Jessica Himmelberg (alternate).

Though they were not the only members to compete, as Nathan Elledge, an 8th grader, was accompanying them. Nathan competed in Ag Literacy, a speech that talks about his experience in "farm to fork" while raising beef for the beef in schools program. He ended up taking 5th place with a red ribbon.
