South Central Seniors participate in Mock Interviews and Etiquette Dinner
Launch the media gallery 1 player - media #1District seniors honed their professional skills as part of their NCAPS experience with mock interviews held on the Hastings campus of Central Community College. Each researched a job and created their resume and cover letter prior to the event and then spent 30 minutes with one of eleven business or industry professionals arranged by NCAPS staff.
While the experience can be nerve-racking for students, it is a significant skill-builder as students move on to the next stage of their professional development.
Students and interviewers were then treated to an etiquette dinner in the Culinary Arts department on the CCC campus. It consists of a five-course meal and a lesson on the formalities of fine dining.
South Central Unified holds this event each spring for seniors and it has become one of the most anticipated days of the year. The volunteers who interview the students are very much appreciated too!
