21-22 Calendar Changes
Launch the media gallery 1 playerThe Nebraska State Activities Association modified the dates of the Girls’ and Boys’ State Basketball Tournament to run simultaneously the same week this year due to the Pinnacle Bank Arena scheduled to host the Big 10 wrestling tournament the first weekend of March. This moves both of the state basketball tournaments to the second week of March.
The original calendar listed March 3rd and 4th as non-school days to accommodate individuals planning to attend the state girls’ basketball tournament. Because the entire state basketball tournaments are now scheduled for March 7 - 12, SCNUSD #5 will make a calendar adjustment moving March 3 and 4 to staff and student days and then moving March 9 and 10 to non-school days. March 11 was already scheduled as a non-school day. If Lawrence-Nelson or Sandy Creek girls’ or boys’ basketball teams qualify for the state tournament then additional calendar adjustments may be made as necessary for that school. Additionally, if any plans were already made for March 3 and 4, please contact your child’s teachers for assignments.
